Floor Type Profile Projector
Floor Type Profile Projector

RPP-Series

A floor-standing profile projector based on a vertical beam, telecentric-zoom optical system for distortion-free viewing on a large screen, which is conveniently positioned so that projected images can be easily traced or compared with a template. The measuring stage incorporates linear scales for fast and accurate linear measurement to 1µm with a digital-readout protractor screen. The oblique surface illumination unit provides clear and bright images, allowing easy inspection of non-reflective work pieces such as plastic parts or printed materials.

Frequently Asked Questions — Floor Standing Profile Projectors

What is a floor-standing profile projector?
A floor-standing profile projector is a large-format vertical optical comparator mounted on a floor pedestal. It features a larger projection screen (500–600 mm), higher load capacity work stage, and is designed for high-volume production environments and heavy-duty industrial inspection.
What are the advantages of a floor-type profile projector over a benchtop model?
Floor-type profile projectors offer larger screen sizes, wider X-Y stage travel, greater workpiece weight capacity, and higher throughput for production floor applications. Benchtop models are more portable and suited for laboratory or workshop use.
What is the measurement resolution of a floor-standing profile projector?
Radical Scientific RPP-series floor profile projectors achieve measurement resolution of 1 µm (0.001 mm) via digital linear scales on both X and Y axes, combined with a 360° rotating protractor screen with vernier resolution.
Which industries use floor-standing profile projectors?
Floor-standing profile projectors are used in automotive tooling inspection, aerospace precision parts measurement, heavy engineering, die casting quality control, and large gear and thread gauging in production environments.
