| Construction | Our fume hoods come with a durable, chemically-resistant, double-walled construction, made up of 304 grade stainless steel on the outside and 316 grade stainless steel on the inside. |
| Design | Aerodynamically designed, so as to minimize turbulence and allow for a smooth laminar air flow. This design also improves containment and minimizes static pressure losses and noise levels. |
| Air-Flow Type | We offer an Automatic By-pass fume hood. This provides for a continuous air flow across the work surface, even when the sash is closed, and creates a relatively constant air volume regardless of the sash position. |
| Baffle Arrangement | The 2 point suction section along with the baffles help to optimize the fume hood efficiency, by ensuring the smooth and immediate exhaust of fumes. |
| Airfoil | The powder coated airfoil streamlines airflow into the hood, preventing the creation of turbulent eddies that can carry vapors out of the hood. The space below the airflow allows for the airflow across the work surface when the sash is in a closed position. |
| Door/Sash | We offer a Vertical Sliding sash. It is made of toughened glass (5mm thick)/polycarbonate, fitted in a powder coated aluminium frame. The glass window mechanism can move vertically up and down using sash track. The Sash track system here is made up of concealed counter balanced weights and a pulley, thus allowing the operator to easily move the sash up or down and keep it at a desired height during work. Clear sash open height is 500mm-675mm, according to the size and the fume hood. |
| Work Surface | The easy to clean, chemically resistant, and splash and spillage proof work surface is made of jet- black granite and is fitted with a small oval shaped 100×200mm PP cup-sink for drainage & a good quality water tap. A gas cock is also fitted. Other options for the worktop are also available. These include: |
| Chemical Storage Cabinet | At the bottom of the fume hood we provide a ventilated cabinet to store chemicals. |
| Blower | High speed centrifugal blower. Our high efficiency, silent, energy-saving blower consists of a continuous rating motor and a chemical-resistant impeller. It is designed to give a face velocity of 80-120 FPM(feet/minute) as per ANSI/AIHA Z9.5, at the safe working height. |
| Lighting | The chamber is fitted with an efficient fluorescent/LED light assembly, with less power consumption. |
| Service Fittings | A total of 3 service fittings (1 for water and 2 for gases) are provided for; via remotely operated and color coded service valves with SS (stainless steel) wire braided flexible hose and brass fittings. |
| Electrical Fittings | 4 electrical 15/5 Ampere electrical sockets with switches (Brand-North West/ Havells) are provided for light and blower. LED indicators show the ‘ON’ position of switches. A control panel is provided with starter for blower. |
| Fume Hood Air Suction Capacity | 650 CFM confirming to the international face velocity norms and as per the fume hood airflow pattern. |
| Alarm | Our fume hood is equipped with a highly reliable audio / visual alarm device that indicates the approximate face velocity of airflow; with the primary purpose of detecting a drop or rise in airflow (no static pressure) throughout the hood unit. If the fume hood’s exhaust volume falls below a preset exhaust level, the alarm will alert the operator by sound and visual sign. |
